Saratoga Septic Plans Need the Right Review Path

Saratoga County septic work can involve county health review and local building-department routing. Saratoga County Department of Health staff work under Appendix 75-A to protect water quality. They review plans for new, changed, or repaired septic systems, investigate complaints, help installers and designers, and answer public questions.

The county encourages electronic plan and application submission. For residential systems that are not part of a realty subdivision, the county points homeowners to the local building department.
