Rockland Delinquent Taxes Route Through Finance

Rockland owners should separate local receiver payments from county Finance payments for delinquent or later quarterly property taxes.

Rockland property-tax timing can change which office should receive the money. Rockland offers online payment for delinquent and quarterly taxes by electronic check or credit card. The quarterly payments are split between offices. The January 15 payment goes to the town receiver.

The second, third, and fourth quarterly payments go to the Commissioner of Finance and can be paid through the county system. Start by naming the quarter and whether the tax is delinquent. If it is the January 15 payment, use the town receiver. If it is a later quarterly payment, use the Commissioner of Finance route.

For an old notice, get the current amount, receiving office, payment method, and fee before sending money. Keep the bill, quarter, quoted amount, office, payment confirmation, and receipt together.
