New Rochelle public-works permits require online uploads

New Rochelle’s online permit-system page says DPW permit documentation must be uploaded online, so paper handoffs are the wrong assumption.

Published June 24, 2026 · Last verified June 24, 2026

Some New Rochelle permit work cannot be filed on paper. DPW does not accept paper forms, drawings, or insurance certificates. Those items go into the online form. Contractors, utilities, and owners should use that route for covered work near the street.

Before setting a work date, ask whether DPW handles the permit. Confirm which files and insurance papers must be uploaded.

Keep the address, online form, drawings, insurance certificate, permit number, and city reply together. Review every uploaded file before submitting the permit application. Paper copies do not replace the required online upload.
