Broome Delinquent Tax Plans Need a Direct Call

Broome County posts an installment route for delinquent real-property taxes, with a down payment, monthly term, and current-tax requirement.

Published June 23, 2026 ยท Last verified June 23, 2026

Broome County gives delinquent taxpayers a contact step before an installment agreement can be reviewed. Real Property Tax Services says to call for information about a new agreement and leave the taxpayer name, town, tax map number, property address, and daytime phone number. It will return the call after research is complete. The program is for taxpayers who are delinquent on real-property tax and in danger of county foreclosure.

The program requires a 25 percent down payment, followed by 24 monthly payments with 1 percent monthly interest. New taxes must stay current.

Keep the tax bill, foreclosure notice, tax map number, contact date, and Real Property Tax Services response together. If an agreement is approved, add the down-payment record, monthly payment schedule, and proof that new taxes remain current.
