Brooklyn DOB Summonses Need Correction Proof
A paid or heard DOB summons may still need a Certificate of Correction to clear the building record.

A Brooklyn building summons is not always finished after a hearing or payment. The violating condition still has to be corrected. A Certificate of Correction proves the fix. These requests go through DOB NOW: Safety, rather than old paper forms.
Open violations can appear in title searches. They can also block new or amended certificates of occupancy or letters of completion. Search the violation, confirm the proof needed, and submit through DOB NOW: Safety.
Keep the property address, summons or violation number, correction proof, submission date, and approval notice together. Use the same violation number for any DOB follow-up or later title question.
